The operation of the system is based on registering the flow of resources in suitable directions of movement. The flows can be registered manually, as based on weighing or other automatic registra-tion (e.g. by means of bar code readers). The system makes it possible to follow and identify resource flow, as well as retracing the path from the ready-made product, through manufacturing process back to the resource supplier. The module has advanced mechanisms of managing multi-ingredient and hierarchically complex recipes, production and carcass partition (meat industry). An additional function of the Production Management program is support of all tasks related to orders from customers, pro-duction planning (generating needs for resources is included as well), resource scheduling and price calculation of the final product. The amount of received orders from customers is the basis for creat-ing a daily production plan. The application also supports the daily traffic of containers.
